Ilkka Pallonen

In addition to private practice, I am an oral and maxillofacial surgeon at the Tampere University Hospital. This has been my main job for over 10 years. At the hospital, my area of responsibility for the last few years has been implant surgery and bone and soft tissue grafts. I am the main instructor in this area at Tampere University Hospital, and an instructor for courses outside the hospital. In addition, my job includes jaw surgery, cancer surgery and its reconstructions, extensive bone graft surgery, facial fractures, and other oral and maxillofacial surgery, from tooth exposure surgery or removal to taking biopsies. I have held several positions of trust along the way, but my current position of trust is the chairmanship of the Finnish Dental Society Apollonia’s Implantology division. I have served on the division’s Board of Directors since 2016.

I am very motivated in my work and constantly strive to develop my own expertise. I take courses around the world so that I can provide my patients with the best and highest quality care, based on research data.
