I have completed a doctoral dissertation in prosthodontics and occlusal physiology and, in the past, I worked for a long period of time as a teacher at the University of Oulu Department of Dentistry.
I perform aesthetic and functional rehabilitation of teeth and occlusion. The treatments often include root canal therapy, oral surgery, orthodontics and gum disease treatment in cooperation with a specialised dentist. The most common treatments are aesthetic corrections including reinforcement of worn teeth and correcting disturbing positions or colour of teeth. I fix these with crowns or veneers, and sometimes simply with filling material. The treatment of accidentally lost or missing teeth takes place as much as possible using implant crowns or bridges, possibly with removable prosthesis. When treating occlusal physiology patients, I use the FOK occlusal splint (a functionally guiding occlusal splint), which I have developed myself.
