Elina Alvesalo

I am a specialised dentist focusing on prosthodontics and occlusal physiology.

I graduated from the University of Helsinki in 2011 and, even before specialising, I took an active approach to training both in Finland and abroad. Among other things, I completed a training course at Dawson Academy, covering the corrective treatment of complex occlusion problems, from planning to the completed treatment, taking aesthetics into account too, of course.

At my practice, I can perform both major and minor dental and occlusal rehabilitation treatments, as well as implant treatments. I also perform orthodontic aligner treatments and have a keen interest in aesthetic dental care.

Currently, I also work as a specialised dentist at the City of Helsinki’s Unit for Specialised Oral Care.

I have deepened my orthodontic aligner expertise through training at the IAS Academy (UK), where I also incorporated the Align, Bleach and Bond approach into my work. In short, this means that I always aim for minimal invasiveness in my treatments, i.e. I respect and seek to preserve the customer’s own dental tissue. Sometimes, this can be achieved with just minor straightening of teeth and, if necessary, whitening before corrective treatment (for example, thin shells or plastic tips can be made at the end of the treatment and your own tooth drilled as little as possible during the treatment).

Sometimes, just a small change has a big impact on a smile.

My strengths include a good aesthetic eye and careful planning and realisation of treatments.
