We at Oral take data protection very seriously because we believe that trust and privacy protection are a prerequisite for high-quality and safe oral health care. We are committed to complying with the legislation concerning the processing of personal data valid at the time as well as provisions and instructions of competent authorities. We were well-prepared for the General Data Protection Regulation of the EU, which came into force on 25 May 2018, and we aim to be among pioneers in data protection and data security also in the future.
Data protection officer
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation of the EU (GDPR), Oral must have a designated data protection officer (DPO). The DPO is in charge of monitoring and ensuring the compliance with the data protection legislation at Oral. Furthermore, the DPO contributes to Oral in fulfilling its obligations related to data protection. The DPO acts as a contact point for the supervisory authority and as the contact person supporting and assisting the personnel and data subjects in matters related to personal data processing. General Counsel Sanna Elomaa acts as the DPO at Oral (firstname.lastname@example.org).
