Dental Specialist, orthodontics
As an orthodontist, I provide orthodontic treatments for children, young people and adults.
I graduated as a dentist from the University of Helsinki in 2005. I started performing orthodontic treatments as an assistant at the City of Tampere Oral Outpatient Clinic in 2013. I graduated as an orthodontic specialist from the University of Helsinki in 2024. I have extensive clinical experience and am happy to see all kinds of patients. I treat patients as individuals and strive to find a treatment solution that suits each patient’s own wishes and needs. I take a calm and gentle approach, so that patients with dental fear also feel at home here.
I perform both simple and complex orthodontic treatments with traditional fixed and removable braces, as well as orthodontic aligners. If necessary, I also combine TADs – temporary anchorage devices (mini screws) with orthodontic treatments or combine different techniques (braces and aligners) to ensure the best result. For aligner treatments, I have been trained on the use of Invisalign, HeySmile, Clear Correct and Clear Aligner systems. I currently actively use Invisalign and HeySmile, as well as occlusal splints
, mandibular repositioning devices and sleep apnea mouthguards. I mainly order sleep apnea mouthguards from SomnoMed Finland Oy.
I regularly attend further training courses and international conferences, as I consider continuous training important. Learning new things is a source of inspiration for me!
To make sure I can do my job to the best of my abilities, I take care of myself by doing a variety of exercise in my free time, and I also find things like music to be a great way to relax.
An orthodontic consultation is a fee-based appointment. During the appointment, the patient’s background and needs are reviewed; their face, occlusion and dental condition are analysed; and the treatment options and costs are roughly assessed.
More detailed orthodontic treatment planning takes place when all the necessary resources, such as tooth scans or impressions, photographs and X-rays, are available.
If you have had previous orthodontic treatment or are coming for treatment for a retention wire problem, for example, please bring with you all the documents and resources you have regarding the previous treatment (e.g. cast models and treatment notes) to ensure I have the best possible understanding of your situation and can compile the most logical treatment solution or follow-up plan.
I look forward to seeing you at my practice!
